and so...
after however long, I have decided to write in this journal. I am supposed to be working on a paper but for some reason, this seemed much more interesting. I work at a restaurant. Bennigans. I am still at sdsu. No, I am not still drunk and I have declared. I still have a girlfriend. Her name is still nicole. She is still a foot shorter than I am. I decided that San Diego is lame and I don't think I want to stay here for long after I graduate. As much as I love the weather and taco stands, there is a dominant "bro" culture that has taken over the city and I fear that I may contract an air bourne strain of herpes or something. In the past however many months, I went to new york, came back, had a birthday, september 22nd for all those who forgot, and I will continue to be educated in the forseeable future. I wish I could remember to update this thing on a day to day basis but...I'm so lazy. For now, take solace in the fact that I am still in existance and that I hope you still care about that. exciting
I checked my voicemails today for the first time in forever. It was a pretty funny experience. I had 15 or 16, dating back to March 3rd. In the span, I found out my grandfather was going to the hospital, having surgery, came out of surgery and made it home ok. My sister's car hit 90,000 miles and a bunch of other random things happened. But that's all in the past now. I have three more weeks of school and two job interviews this week. On top of all this, I need to determine when to go to New York (sometime and August) and figure out which classes in Summer school today. The YMCA sucks but at least naked men get to bother me when I walk into thee locker room. Does our gender have any shame?! Whatever, I hear things far worse about the womens locker room, regardung "things" being left on the floor and women walking around with a towel wrapped around their head and nothing else. That's anough for now. Maybe i'll update this thing more often. or not. Patrick |

I was checking my e-mail today and there was an e-mail from my college radio station. It was one of the DJ's who wanted to change the list of bands that is associated with his show. He mentioned bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Fall Out Boy and Green Day. I thought it was a joke but I wasn't sure. I sent an email back that said "wait...seriously?". I went in to the station to do my show later and started to look through the playlists for mine. I came across his. He was really playing Fall Out Boy and Avenged Sevenfold, not to mention Gorillaz, Black eyed peas and other assorted crap. WTF. This is college radio. Why is he allowed to play stuff like this. Am I being an elitist? or is everyone else missing the point of college radio? Why the trash can he play stuff like this? but not as a joke. I didn't think people really listened to that stuff and took it seriously. ANYWAYS, that's my rant. Today was great. Everyday is great. That is all. Patrick |

I am now a firm believer in staying awake for more than 24 hours. You get so much more done and you don't have to deal with the trials that occur in the day time. I saw Reggie and the Full Effect tonight with Nicole A. So much fun. I am in love like a glove with that band. That is all. Patrick |

so I started my job at the y this week and I can already tell it is going to be ridiculous. The people I work with are crazy and people hardly ever come in. In my down time though, I used a body fat tester and it said I was at 6% body fat. That can not be right can it? whatever. |

I thought that i should update but I do not really know what to say. but whenever I do not update for a while, people mention it. so here I am. I got a job, I think. It will be at the YMCA. It fit in petfectly with my schedule and I only have to do it two days a week. Plus I get money which is always nice. This weekend, I will be travelling to San Francisco with friends and hopefully visiting uncle Jeff (whom I will be calling later today). I will be sure to take pictures and such. School is alright. I have an atention problem in my french class which my teacher keeps calling me on. She probably thinks i am such a huge flake. Oh well, I guess I will just have to prove her wrong. That is it for now. I just noticed that I do not use contractions very much. That probably made this very difficult to read. That and my poor sentence structure. Eh. Patrick |

but seriously... I had to start wearing this pedometer for my exercise and well-being class (lame, I know) but it tracked how many steps I have taken today. A person that is considered physically active takes 10,000 steps a day, 3 days a week. At 6:30, I have taken 17294 steps today. Is it possible to walk too much? School is otherwise fine. I haven't missed any class yet (bonus!) so I feel like I will do well. I was listening to the college rock station on XM radio and it was seriously amazing. They played Marky Mark, Enigma, ST, Violent Femmes and various other rad bands. It made me feel much better because my car got broken into yesterday and my radio got stolen. I had to get the window replaced and eventually find a cheap stereo for the car. It is seriously driving me crazy to have silence in the car. It's like i'm trapped in a windowless room or something. Or whatever. I don't know what else to write about right now. so im done. Patrick |
